Intriguing images are the common threads of Susan Lackey’s artwork.  Her style is abstraction and expressionism.  What makes her style unique is her ability to suggest a concept, feeling, or mood and leave the story open-ended.  The viewer is provided with an opportunity to use their imagination to develop many personal stories on many different levels.  Susan is an accomplished poet as well as a painter. Many of her poems are inspired by her paintings and appear on the description pages for those paintings.
