Spring's Symphony

Spring's Symphony
This painting has all the colors, rhythms, and sounds of a sun warmed Spring Day. There are many colors peeking through the layers of paint, representing how bright Spring colors push up out of the Winter soil to show us new joy each year. The following poem by the artist, Susan Lackey, was inspired by this artwork.
On a bright sunny day when you stand very still,
A crescendo of songs, in your ears will fill.
Birds and crickets, cicadas and toads,
Spring’s sun warms the earth ‘till color explodes.
