Summer Sherbet

Summer Sherbet
You can count on sherbet to cool you down on a hot summer day. This painting represents what a landscape would look like if it was made of orange, lime, and blue sherbets. Wouldn’t you love to go there? The following poem by the artist, Susan Lackey, was inspired by this artwork.
Whether orange, or lime, or Malibu blue,
Nothing’s more de-lish, and so yummy too.
You can count on sherbet to cool you down
On a hot summer day. That’s what I’ve found.

The Nature’s Balance Collection
In this collection of paintings, nature’s beauty and tranquility are creatively counterpoised with bold and sometimes jarring color, suggesting a sense of place and a moment in time. There is often a delightful interplay of light and dark.
