Breeze in the Trees
Breeze in the Trees
The intent of this painting is to depict wind wiping through the leaves and limbs of big trees. Energy is created by contrasting bright greens with a splash of lively oranges with softer blues and violets. And the tension of those swoopy, twisting lines against the strong straight lines pushing up through the leaves, creates a feeling of motion against strength. Don’t you just want dance in that breeze? The following poem by the artist, Susan Lackey, was inspired by this artwork.
There’s an undulating breeze, dancing through the trees.
So fresh and clean, the many colors of green.
Tossed, maybe tattered, but what does it matter?
Stand strong and refreshed as nature’s guest.

The Nature’s Resonance Collection
These paintings were inspired by the visual features, the sound, and the movement that resonates in nature’s mountains, hills, and woodland walks. The colors, shapes, textures, and light of natural settings have been creatively abstracted to suggest the rhythms, the sounds, the movement that are seen and heard.
