Tide Line

Tide Line
If you have walked on the beach, you know there is a “debris line” where the high tide washes in shells and all manner of things from the ocean. This painting captures that feeling of wonder, discovery, and beauty that you have when you see what’s there. The following poem by the artist, Susan Lackey, was inspired by this artwork.
High tide on the beach builds a line of debris.
And, oh what a beautiful thing to see.
Bits of shell and net,
And sea glass, you bet.
That feeling of wonder, and discovery for me.

The Nature’s Balance Collection
In this collection of paintings, nature’s beauty and tranquility are creatively counterpoised with bold and sometimes jarring color, suggesting a sense of place and a moment in time. There is often a delightful interplay of light and dark.
